In Evo it was possible to completely hide certain resources from the view of clients by using Roles; does anyone know if this is possible in Revo?

I’ve tried doing this with the new Resource Groups, but this also effects the front-end and I only want them hidden in the Manager...

I think you can to this by adding the access rule into the web context of all groups (Group -> Update -> Context Access -> Add Context)

Hmm, I’m not sure if that would work - I don’t want that user/group to not have access to the entire context but just one or two pages.

For example I have a "Coming Soon" page up on the site at the moment, but I’d like the client’s team to login and add all the content without touching the Coming Soon page, hiding it from the tree would solve this.

Then I would try it like this:

          * Add a resource group "protected"
          * Add the "coming soon" page to the "protected" resource
          * Updated every existing group and add context access to web with a minimum role "9999" (member) and access policy "Resource", "Load, List and View" or "Load" (as desired)
          * Do the same for the mgr context for the groups which should be able to edit the coming soon page
          * Add access to resource group "protected" in the web context for all groups
          * Add access to resource group "protected" in the mgr context for groups which should be able to edit the coming soon page

I’m not quite sure and didn’t try it but I think this should work.

I don’t quite understand the step "Updated every existing group and add context access to web with a minimum role "9999" (member) and access policy "Resource", "Load, List and View" or "Load" (as desired)" could you explain that again?

If you place the "Coming soon" page into the protected resource group it is only viewable in the front-end, when the current user is member of a group having access to the protected resource group.

Because you wan’t everyone to be able to load, view or list the "Coming soon" page in the frontend (or better in the web context). You need to grant all groups access to the protected resource group in the web context, right?

Hmm, strangely I’ve been able to hide the private pages from the Administrator account but keep them shown on the Clients account sad

                Here’s what I’ve got:

One Resource Group called "Hidden", which contains three pages.
Two user groups, one called Administrators and the other Clients.
Two Roles, Super User set to zero and Member set to 9999.

This is how the Context Access looks:

                Resource Group Access:

(I thought this would work, by adding the Hidden Resource Group to the Clients User Group, giving it a min role of 9999 and only accessible to Clients)

                I hope that helps?

Am I correct in thinking that zero means highest level of control and 9999 is the lowest level of control?

                  Yes, that’s right.

How does your Administrator group look like?

                    Administrator looks like this:

and nothing under Resource Group Access

So at the moment with these settings when I login as Administrator I see:

                      and as Client I get:

with the Resource Groups looking like this:

What I don’t understand is how its possible they are hidden from the Administrator’s Resources tree and shown in the Clients tree, when I’ve not even touched the Administrator User Group
