    I’m the freakin’ administrator! Why don’t I have permission to create a document under a container. I can create a document in the root and move it to the container. What’s the difference?

    This is Revolution 2.0.0-pl

      It sounds like one of those two events is a bug, but it’s hard to know which one. Have you messed with permissions at all (e.g., tied user groups to resource groups, created ACL entries, done anything at all on the Security menu, etc.)?

        @BobRay - yes, I’ve tied resource groups to user groups. I’m logged in as admin and the Administrator group has access to all the resource groups with Access Policy = Administrator and Context = mgr.

          The Administrator policy is not for use with Resource Group ACLs. You need to use the Resource policy or one based on it with whatever permissions you want removed; though I assume as Administrator you want them to have the full Resource policy permission set.

            I added the resource group with resource policy and mgr context to Administrator group. But I still cannot create resource under that resource group.

              Just to double-check, you need:

              1. For the user to be a member of the Administrators user group with a role of Administrator
              2. A Context Access ACL entry for the Administrators user group for the mgr context with a policy of Administrator
              3. A Resource Group Access ACL entry for the Administrators user group specifying the mgr context, the resource group with the resources in question, and a policy of Resource.

              You haven’t edited the standard Administrator or Resource policies, right?

                @BobRay-
                1. There is no Administrator role - just Super User role (Authority 0), which is the role for the Administrator.
                2. Check
                3. Check

                Is #1 an issue, or did you mean Super User?

                    @BobRay - That was my cue to just start trying things. The first thing I tried worked. I changed the Minimum Role for the Resource Group from Super User-0 to Resource Group Editor-20 under the Administrator Group.

                    One would think this would not be necessary since Administrator is Super User which satisfies the minimum role huh

                      Are you sure you were logged in as the admin Super User? If so, it sounds like that would be a bug.
