I’m using a CSSPlay flyout menu in Revolution through Wayfinder. I implemented FURL the other day and now my flyout menu only works on the home page (www.grizzlyhockey.com)

    Any insights?

Did you get this working? It seems like it’s working for me, unless I’m missing something.

Whoops - I forgot to mention. It’s only in IE8 that it doesn’t work. It does work in Safari.

          There’s a shocker grin

IE8 has trouble with :hover on things that aren’t anchors. Frankly, it could be 1 of a million things. Granted, I don’t know why they would work on the homepage and not on the others. But it could be related to that. See here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~peterned/csshover.html

You can try changing your CSS (maybe just for ie) so that hover on a shows the fly out instead of hover on li. Just make the a display:block in an li of the same dimensions.

Simultaneous to my original post, I sent an email to Stu Nicholls, creator of the CSSPlay flyout menu. He solved the problem:

The menu does not work in IE8 because you are not using a standards compliant doctype:
The home page is missing the closing ’>’
            <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"

and the inner pages have a short version which is not standards compliant:
            <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

            Best wishes,
            Stu
