Hi all,

I’ve started work on an art gallery website. We want each artist to have a manager user and each manager only able to see and edit pages created by them (so they can’t see/edit other’s content).

    Is this possible?

I got this working in the end by hacking the manager/frames/nodes.php file to compare $_SESSION[’mgrInternalKey’] with $alias. If they didn’t match it hid the output. Also hacked ManagerManager to set new document’s parent directories default to the invisible parent that the user logs into.

Really horribly messy, but it works until I have time to upgrade to rev.

I’m assuming you’re using Evolution. You can do it, but AFAIK, you’ll need a separate manager user group and a separate resource group for each user.

In Revo, you can assign a tree_root_id user setting for each user that restricts them to their own portion of the Resource tree.

        Thanks for the reply!

I would do this but I’m also using ManagerManager which would mean the rules need to be updated, along with a new manager group and a new resource. The website is run by a very un-tech savvy person, so that level of depth will cause problems.

I think a conversion to Revo is in order, though this is a bit time consuming for the moment.

ManagerManager uses jQuery to hide stuff in the back end, so would it be feasable to hack it to hide documents that aren’t created by the user?

        Thanks again.
