I have a site that is expressing <base href="[[++site_url]]" /> as a secure URL, https://www.mydomain.com. What setting will create the URL as http vs. https?
Is it available via https on that domain as well? If so, you might try not caching the site_url, so it always reflects the actual domain requested, e.g.
