    Hi there,

I’ve set up a page at http://www.saddlesfordressage.co.uk/index.php?id=1 for an error page and pointed it to resource id from tools -> configuration -> site

but anytime anyone puts it anything wrong in the url bar it shows the generic 404 error page for modx.

    Also

I have an enquiry form built into a website for a client that she wants to use MODX to update with ,

    www.saddlesfordressage.co.uk

on the left hand side you will see an enquiry form page

anytime you click the submit button... whether information is put into the form or not i now get an internal 500 server error .

it works fine on my testing server.

I have changed over the paths in the tools -> configuration -> interface&Features/File Manager as i was told to in this guide :
    http://rtfm.modx.com/display/Evo1/Moving+Site

Running evolution MODx Evolution 1.0.4 (8 June 2010) - Checked it by running /install... im assuming this is the way to check version?

Any ideas why this would be?

The database appears to be set up properly

    Thanks alot

    Darryl

Your MODx version is displayed in the upper right hand corner of the Manager.

Have you cleared the cache after changing the domains?

Your posting to a php file outside of MODx, you need to check it exists and the server you are on is allowing access to it. It needs to be in the top level of your MODx install i.e. next to index.php for this to work.

It is indeed in my top level of modx outside the assets/install/manager folder e.t.c...

i set the permissions to 777 to test also but it doesn’t seem to have helped if this is what you mean by allowing access to it .

Sorry, but i just can’t seem to find the problem , i have even deleted my file and uploaded the standard file i downloaded with no changes and that doesn’t work.

                Thanks

Sorry, the 777 is perms, not access I meant access as in can you access the file from a browser, you should set the perms back to not writeable. As for the error, check your webservers access log, it may give you more clues, it’s possible of course that the php script itself is being executed and is borking somewhere and generating the 500 error.

                    Hi ,

I had a look at the webserver access log , To be honest i have no idea what i am looking for , very new to php,

I have attached the access log , would be much appreciated if someone could have a look over it and tell me if they find anything.

                    Thanks

I’ve noticed the file has been downloaded 5 times, has anyone had any luck?

my client is now jumping on my back for this to be done!

                      Thanks
