    Hi . . .

How do I move my client’s site to his new server? We are using Evolution. I loaded the site and made the database, etc. I can drag in the elements but I was concerned about the site content. Do I create a backup in the first site and insert it in the second new admin? I can make a backup but is there a place to insert the database in the new manager or do I need to use something like phpmyadmin?

    thanks,
    Daniel

You can move the files between the server. Change the config.inc.php file to update the database settings.

The database can be exported and imported using phpmyadmin. You need to edit the file paths in the database or login and change the paths in the manager.

The last step is to clear your cache wink

I added the files and connected the database to the ne server and all came in except the button navigation. I have all my pages set and "Show in Menu" but they are not appearing in the site though they are all appearing in the site tree in the edit area.

Any Idea on what I am missing to pull in the navigation?

Here is the new server link
        http://www.btzbuffalo.org/manager/

It’s supposed to look like this
        http://vps2836.inmotionhosting.com/~btzbuff/

I am using the andreas00 template. Could there be something with the config file?

This is the navigation placement code in the template
        [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`1` &outerTpl=`outer` &selfClass=`current` &rowTpl=`row`]]

        thanks,
        Daniel

Glad to hear that fixed the problem smiley

Site and Browser caches are biggest thing to keep in mind when moving sites smiley
