Hi . . .
I was supposed to host my clients site but now they have switched it up and are staying on their non for profit host server. This was last minute and this server is Windows. Argh. Since the site is done any luck in moving that to a windows server from a Linux environment?
thanks,
Daniel

Hello Daniel,
Yes, you can run it on Windows, but you need to install PHP, MySQL, and if you want FURLs ISAPI_Rewrite. This isn’t installed by most windows hosts...
Hope that helps some.
AMDbuilder
I have tried the install and got through till the database create section /Install Results where I received the following errors . . .
Creating database tables: Database Alerts!
MODx setup couldn’t install/alter some tables inside the selected database.
The following errors had occurred during installation
CREATE command denied to user ’tbtzbuf_temple’@’66.96.80.211’ for table ’modx_active_users’ during the execution of SQL statement CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `modx_active_users` ( `internalKey` int(9) NOT NULL default ’0’, `username` varchar(50) NOT NULL default ’’, `lasthit` int(20) NOT NULL default ’0’, `id` int(10) default NULL, `action` varchar(10) NOT NULL default ’’, `ip` varchar(20) NOT NULL default ’’, PRIMARY KEY (`internalKey`) ) TYPE=MyISAM COMMENT=’Contains data about active users.’.
There there were a huge amount of "CREATE command denied to user" beneath that also.
What could be causing this? I managed to get through till the Install results.
thanks,
Daniel

Sounds like a MySQL problem. Did you create a database username/password for your MODx user?
Yes I did. I got to that section. I wonder if it could be an old form of MySQL?
The server address is below.
mysql3.uscjhost.net

The user for the database does not have CREATE permissions, so the installer can’t create the tables.
