I have many word documents and pdf files that I link to from my site that are located in my resources (under "Files") I was able to create a folder, with the idea to tidy up the many documents, and place like with like files in each folder. However, I do not know how to move the word/pdf documents into the folder. I do not seem to be able to drag a document into the folder. Thanks in advance.

Yes it would, but that’s a VERY old version of MODx. MODx Evolution is currently at 1.0.4 and there have been a number of important security fixes since your version.

I’d suggest downloading and upgrading. wink

And to answer your question about tidying up the files, MODx File Manager is very basic one, you cannot drag n drop there. For this you will have to use FTP program such as FileZilla.

If you have an IT guy or someone who manages site for you, you should ask him to help you in this regard, since moving files into other folders will break the links on your pages (if the files are linked from your web pages).

              Hope this help.

Our site is hosted elsewhere and unfortunately because we pay for this,I do the best I can at doing things myself; updating the site with new information, creating new pages, etc. I will probably create new folders and then upload the documents again, but this time, I will place them right into the newly created folder. Then I will delete the old documents. I know I will have to re-link everything, but I do know how to do that. It will be a slow process that I will work on over time. Thanks so much for all of your help.
