Hi,
I’m working on a component that requires some backend forms for administrative purposes. Would it be possible to modify the manager of mod in such a way that these forms become part of the modx manager, e.g. be visible and selectable from one of the menus of the manager? If so, how would I achieve that?

Thanks.
How do I hook up a TV to a admin template???
Using revo by the way

Try to find some information about Template Variable, because the options that you have with TV.s are so many...
but in resume, you may apply code to the templates, and activate or inactivate, fill or change it from the template editor., very easy.
i hope TV may help you!!!

Excellent!! Thanks!
I came across these CMP’s a couple of weeks ago but could not remember the name, nor did I bookmark

FYI, Template Variables are *way* easier to implement than CMPs and you can move them all to a custom tab with Form Customization.

I understand the basic concepts of TV’s.
I don’t see how I can use them for making backend admin forms.
Any chance for an (link to) example?
Thanks

I don’t have an example, but basically you’d use form customization rules to create a new tab on the Create/Edit Resource panel, then use form customization rules to move the set of TVs that constitute the form to that tab, so that tab would contain your form.

That might, or might not, do what you want.
Thanks. I think I get the idea.
I’ll try both methods and see which one works best for me.
