    Hi,

I’m new here and new to MODx. I am shocked by it’s flexibility and power. Even though I don’t understand so many things yet, I can already make with ease sites that were difficult to code using other CMSs. As for now I have one question: is it possible to change manager folder name in Revolution? I tried to change some lines in /core/config/config.inc.php, but looks like "manager" path is hardcoded somewhere else.
Recently i was using Website Baker and changing admin path was very easy there. I like to do it because of security reasons. How about in MODx?

Yes, but you’ll need the "advanced" distribution to do so: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Advanced+Installation

Can you do this with a pre-existing install (live site)?

I've done this with a pre-existing install, using the standard distribution and it works really well. You just need to make sure the manager path is updated in all the config files.

As with everything, test it on a local installation first or risk breaking your live site!

would it be as simple as just renaming the folder & updating configs?

Also clear your cache. But as I said, try it on a test install first.
