    Hello
Im very new to modx but I’ve already fallen completely in love with it. Its great!
Though I have a little problem.
The publish/unpublish date feature of resources does not work for me.
    Im using revolution 2.0-pl.
    The server-time looks okay.
Is it a bug or have I missed something?

The publish/unpublish feature is not driven by a timed event, its driven by external events such as page loads, edits in the manager etc. Try setting a resource to publish in the future at a certain time, at that time check again, it won’t actually get published until the next page load request comes in to the site.
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!

        Hello. Thanks for answering
I tried that allready - refreshing frontpage site and everything, it just doesn’t seem to work. It only works when directly clicking save resource in the manager, or clearing the cache. So it seems it could be some cache-setting??
I tried disable the resources cacheable setting, but it seems to make no difference.
I attached an image of my cache-settings.

          refreshing frontpage site and everything
this should work but you have to generate a page load, try emptying your browser cache before doing this, it may be this that’s caching.

I cleared browser cache, and even tried multiple browsers - still no result.

I have to be sure what you mean with "page load" - I guess saving a page in manager or refreshing a site in frontend is a "page load", right?
Saving the particular resource in the manager with the "unpublish date" expired will make the resource go unpublished. But I can’t get that to work from frontend.

Hmm. can you try the same thing but with a publish rather than an unpublish, i.e set a publish time in the future, allow the time to publish to elapse, you should see the document not published, then do a page load(not manager actcion), at that point the document should flip to published. Ta.

Okay, I tried unblishing the resource and set a publish date in future. I waited until publish date/time was elapsed and refreshed the site in another browser(with cleared cache).
                Resource is still unpublished.
I really don’t get it. I tried making a fresh revo install on a webserver - same behaviour.

Is there anything relevant in your error log?

by the way im using a xampp server on a arch linux pc.

                      PHP Version 5.3.1
                      mysql version 5.1.41

But I also tested everything on a live webserver, and even with a fresh install of revolution.

                      It doesn’t work for me
