I’m hoping to get some recommendations regarding recommended methods for managing "widgets" or small pieces of content. For example, I’m working on a website now that has two "panels" on the home page that will be swapped out/ edited regularly. You can see them here (for now): http://www.alpinehut.com.php5-12.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/

The panels I’m referring to are labeled "Pro Bike Service" and "BG Fit Certified." The two options I’m considering would be:

    • Use TV’s for each panel/widget/etc...
    • Use resources and pull them in using getResources, ditto, or something similar

Are there any other approaches that I’m missing?

      Hi David,

i’m currently working on a website that present exactly the same two little editable conteners on the homepage and, sincerely, the simplest way to manage this is a TV for each one.
One more great thing with TVs is that you can comment what it is and add some advice in the TV description

yesterday i had to present this website admin to the client and he was astonished seeing how easy it would be for him to change that kind of content.

TVs are the right choice here smiley

The getResources/Ditto alternative is great but it has to be a &display=`1` and
the user has to change the document that will be displayed.

I use a TV with a checkbox selecting chunks. So will have all the "modules/widgets" in
a checkbox arrangement and the user just selects which is displayed. I use it for the
sidebar chunks/widgets and works fine but your use is also possible.
