    I loaded the template "andreas00" and followed the install directions and all seems well but I am having trouble with the button navigation. I set my new pages as "Show in Menu" but nothing is appearing there. Just the home page button. Has anyone had that problem? I am able to edit the body of the template and make pages but only the home page is appearing in the nav area.

    Here is the link

    thanks,

      What does the menu snippet call look like? How is your resource tree structured? Are the new resources published?

        The new resources are published.

        There was no new menu snippet for andreas00 in the zip file I downloaded from your site. Is there a new menu snippet supplies with andreas00?

        Concerning the Resource tree. I created new resources and no "children". When I loaded the CMS I added the modxcms as I usually
        do so there are remnants of that in there.

        This is the navigation code in the html template

        <div id="leftside">
        <h2 class="hide">Sample menu:</h2>
        [[Wayfinder? &startId=`1` &level=`1` &displayStart=`1` &startItemTpl=`startItem` &outerTpl=`outer` &selfClass=`current` &rowTpl=`row`]]

        <div class="announce">

        I looked and I saw someone with the same problem on the forum link below . . .
        http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,3886.msg73075.html#msg73075

        He had a hack which I tried. It did bring in a text navigation tree but not the full button array so I replaced it with the original code so you could take a look.

        This is what is listed in the snippets area

        # Navigation

        * Breadcrumbs (1) - 1.0.2 Configurable breadcrumb page-trail navigation
        * FirstChildRedirect (11) - 1.0 Automatically redirects to the first child of a Container Resource
        * ListIndexer (3) - 1.0.1 A flexible way to show the most recent Resources and other Resource lists
        * UltimateParent (9) - 2.0 Travels up the document tree from a specified document and returns its "ultimate" non-root parent
        * Wayfinder (5) - 2.0 Completely template-driven and highly flexible menu builder

        I haven’t added any new snippets since there were none included in the zip. What snippet do I need to add to pull in the menu?

          That’s the problem; the startId=`1` is telling Wayfinder to list items that are children of resource #1. The displayStart is why the resource #1 is showing at all. That menu is configured to be a sidebar menu. If you want it to be the main menu, change the startId to 0, and get rid of the displayStart and startItemTpl parameters.

            I did that but it isn’t pulling in the buttons. Just the text link tree. Is there a way to pull in the buttons as the links? See below.
            http://vps2836.inmotionhosting.com/~btzbuff/index.php?id=1

            This is how the code appears now. Is there anything I need to add to bring in the rollover buttons?

            <div id="leftside">
            <h2 class="hide">Sample menu:</h2>
            [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`1` &outerTpl=`outer` &selfClass=`current` &rowTpl=`row`]]

            thanks for the help smiley

              It’s all in the classnames and the .css file.

              The chunk "outer" needs to look something like this:
              <ul class="avmenu">
              [+wf.wrapper+]
              </ul>
