I’m on my 3rd free host now...

I’ve tried 000webhost, godaddy, and now Freehostia

00webhost I got nowhere, godaddy at least showed an install screen, but stopped at the database config and now Freehostia lets me get all the way through the setup process only to find a blank screen at the end and now a 503 error at the home page or when trying to setup the server again...

I checked the error log and found this:
(FATAL) Could not load core MODx configuration!

I’m sitting at a 503 now and am not able to install Modx... I’ve read all over for tips on installation. I’ve made sure permissions are set, I’ve turned off magic quotes and safe mode...

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks!!!

I think you’ll get incredibly frustrated trying to make Revo work well on a free host, definitely not recommended.

Thanks hotdiggity, I took your advice. I read a ton of reviews on these guys and people are going nuts. I just deposited $20 into the account. If I used the bare minimum this could last me 5.4 years lol... I don’t think I will be that lucky, but it sure is a heck of allot cheaper than other hosts.
