    Hi Everyone!

First time user of Modx (not first time with CMS’s)

Ive run the install, no issues, admin shows up perfectly.

The main site however does not - its just a blank page.

Ive read through every single post on this issue, but none of the fixes either apply anymore (that is the post/thread is over 3 years old). Or they don’t work - So Im starting to go a little crazy here trying to get it to to work!

Does Revo come with pre-loaded content now? I know earlier there wasn’t any content to see on a new install; you had to create or install a template and build some content for it.

        Hi, thanks for your reply!

Ive just figured this out a couple of hours ago. It does indeed not come with any pre-loaded content/template.

This is very confusing for anyone trying out modx for the first time - mainly because its never mentioned anywhere!!

Sure there’s the ’getting started’ pop-up window that tells you what you some tips about what to do next to start getting your site configured. But it never actually tells you ’BTW, until you do this, you will have a blank front end....as theres no pre-loaded content.

Wouldn’t it be a good idea to have the option to load a sample template/content on the site, on install? (or at least have some plain text on the home page telling you about the non-existent sample content/template) That way those of us who are first trying out Modx, can get a better idea how it all works, as its quite different from most CMS’s

Sorry to sound grumpy, just very frustrated that it took so long to figure this out, and it was not mentioned anywhere that I could find - and I searched high and low!

Anyhow...hopefully this thread will help any other people in the same position smiley and hoping my experience of modx from here on in is much more positive and less stress smiley
