    Hi,

when I try to install new packages in Revolution I get the message that the provider could not be reached. When I manually enter the URL http://rest.modxcms.com/extras/ in the browser, I get a 404-error.

So perhaps the URL should be fixed or it should be announced that the URL has changed (in the Documentation, chapter package management, the mentioned URL still is recommended.

    Thanks.

Sorry, just to bring this one up again:
Is there anybody experiencing the same problem?
If not: Is there any fix for it?

      Thanks in advance!

        - PHP Version?
        - MySQL client AND server version?
        - Do you have cURL installed? It’s required for Package Management.
        - Are you using any opcode caching, such as eAccelerator, xCache, WinCache, APC, etc? (Please check)
        - mod_security enabled?
        - Any errors in core/cache/logs/error.log?
        - Anything else we should possibly know?

You cannot access the modxcms.com Provider from a web browser; it’s not meant to be accessed that way, and is locked down from access from that vector.

          splittingred, thanks for your reply!

The problem was that cURL was not available. I didn’t pay attention to this because on my local install it worked. Now the hoster has turned it on and everything is ok.

          (my case solved)
