Whenever I add a new web link in revolution I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\MyWebSites\mattcdavis\modx-2.0.0-beta\manager\controllers\resource\weblink\update.php on line 17

After I go back to manager, the weblink has in fact been created. The error does not occur when I duplicate or update and existing link.

Also, changing the path to file manager doesn’t seem to work either. For example, if I only want users to see "assets/media/" I would append these folders on to the end of the path. This works fine in evolution, but revolution doesn’t seem to respond to the changes.

    **Update**

I just did a fresh install on my 1and1 webhost server and I’m having the same problem. I was thinking at first that it might have something to do with my local environment (Vista/Apache 2.2), but apparently that’s not the case.

Any ideas? Is anyone else having this problem?

    **Update 2 **

Both of these problems are now fixed. As far as the weblinks - I have no idea how this got fixed. It just stopped giving the error. The file manager issue was just a matter of using a different approach than with evo. For evo, it was "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs/MyWebSites/mattcdavis/modx-2.0.0-beta/assets/media/" whereas for revo it is simply "/assets/media" and it goes in the "resource path" field instead of the "file manager path" field.

p.s. I’m new to ModX and I absolutely love it. I was just about to start building my own system from scratch (a basic one, I’ve only been coding for about a year) because I was so frustrated with the lack of flexibility in other CMS’s. I did like expression engine, but I think ModX is better and it’s free.
God does not save those who are only imaginary sinners. Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong, but let your trust in Christ be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world.
