Does anyone know how to pass in variables to a pieX feed, or a better way to do it? I can’t replace the whitespaces in the feed either.
For example part of the pieX feed:
xe|San Francisco|xa|num|xe|
I need to pass in the variable "San Francisco" (there will be many of these and can’t be manually typed in) and have the whitespace become "+" so the end result is:
xe|San Francisco+Travel|xa|num|xe|
Obviously I could do this easily with JavaScript or a chunk, however it wont parse them. I’ve been through the simpliepie.inc and can’t seem to find anything in there.

For anyone that this might help, I ended up calling the pieX string in a snippet and passing the variable through PHP, then into the pieX string. I altered the variable to take out the spaces using the string str_replace function - perfect. If you want more details drop me a line.
