Hi, as I describe in a early post Im going to migrate a website to modx.

I’ve migrate all html files, only modify some littel code in html import to get meta description into summary and keywords into long title. Would be great this tool could be more powerfull and could extract exact part of html blocks into especific modx resource fields, you could specify the exact regx that you need for each field. The import has been a success, the only problem has been with the number of files, near 1000 plus a folder for each file, a total of near 2000 resources with containers and webpages, the proccess hang near 40s althought max execution time in php is set to 60s, no problem I removed imported files/folders and relanunch import until complete all import. I’ve to modify a littel too the getResourcealias to change de - character for _ to maintanin exact urls in all htmls and paths for seo.

Now php scripts... smiley. The site is about recipes, we have near 30000 recipes and in future will be a lot more. I’ve use codeigniter to manage and present it and use postgresql with full text search index (works great!) for advanced searching, this plus caching obtaing a great performance. I would like to mix with modx, so modx manage users and interaction with others scripts. My idea is that Modx will be like the heart to organize all pieces and use all his possible goodness. How is the support for postgresql in modx revolution ?

I would like to implemente comment (quip? jot?) and rating (starrating?) in recipes (and may be others scripts). My initial thought was create a resource for each recipes in a self context only to relate modx scripts with each recipe but this can be a performance problem has I read in a related post about resource limits. It was recommended to maintain data out modx resources... so can be easily attached snippes like quip or starrating with custom data ?

Thanks, I will be posting here my progress and doubts.

A note, after importing content from an old modx evo with a deep navigation and lot of resources (firs I exported to html, some adjust an then import html), import html hangs was really a problem. Using mod_fcgi, setting max execution time in php is not enough you need to adjust FcgidIOTimeout, it has a 40s limit timeout.
