In cases where the chunk contains a sequence:
> <
(right angle bracket followed by a whitespace and then the left angle bracket)
the chunk can not be saved (the ajax-request to the /connectors/element/chunk.php returns a 404 error).
Found that it depends on server configuration, but what exactly? On this server magic_quotes_gpc is enabled, but I do not have rights to change the server settings.
Added:
Also unavailable ajax-connector /connectors/workspace/packages-rest.php in Package Management (404 error), so loading extensions do not work.

1. Upgrade to 2.0.0-pl
2. I just tested this case, with magic_quotes_gpc on, and cannot replicate it.
3. I’m not sure what you mean by ’packages-rest.php’ being unavailable. If that’s the case, you have a bigger problem - it sounds like all your files did not copy over when you uploaded them before install.

Thank you for reply.
I have already tested the new installation pl. Hoster disabled magic_quotec_gpc. I have installed modx to a clean directory, without any overwrite.
I think the reason in run php as cgi binary. Yesterday hoster switched php as apache module, but this morning again cgi. So there was no time to test.
splittingred, thank you for reply and if you are curious to see the errors, I can give the address and login to installed modx.
