    I’ve been trying to figure this out since yesterday but I can’t get past the setup page. I have it working on my local xampp setup, however I can’t get modx revo installed on the live server. The only major difference between the 2 servers is that the live server is running Plesk. This is the error I get:
    Your MODX_CORE_PATH is invalid

    In order to install MODx Revolution, you must first locate your core directory that contains the files required to run MODx, including this setup application. The current value specified is not valid and setup cannot continue until this is resolved.

    MODX_CORE_PATH: /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/core/
    ERROR: Your MODX_CORE_PATH is invalid; please specify the correct path in the field above and click Submit.

    That is the correct path, so I’m not sure how to get around this. Any ideas?

      I have the same problem.

      0.9.6.3 and Evolution worked without problem on the same server.

        @webgurl:

        I solved the problem by downloading the installer again. Then I followed the steps provided here:

          Thanks for the info. This was kinda the last straw for me with Plesk... so I re-imaged the server using whm/cPanel. modX is installed successfully now.
