    Hi Everybody,

I’ve been having some issues with the Revolution Package Manager. That aside, I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on attempting to install packages outside of the revo package manager?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Bonus question: Ultimately, is the package manager a core function or a manager function?

What issues, exactly, are you having with Package Manager?

      Do you have cURL enabled?

Package manager will not recognize new packages... at all. Tried in many configurations(server and client), no clue why. I’m looking to try to debug that too, but atm, I want to get some basic packages installed so I can get the system functioning.

Download the transport zip files from the Extras section on the website and upload them to the core/packages/ directory. Then you can Add Package --> Scan for Local Packages in the Package Manager.

Indeed, I would do that, if the package manager worked smiley. I have no idea why, but there is a constant in my environment across client browsers, client machines, servers OSs, mysql versions, and modx rc2 through pl that keeps this from working... dunno why. I plan on looking in to debugging it (i could really do with some unit tests, but it seems that half of PkgMgr is mostly javascript undecided) but, for the moment, PkgMgr is out. It just refuses to recognize any packages, at all. So... where would that leave someone?

And not sure if it was implied, but yes, that was one of the first things I checked smiley

Did you physically move your installation after you set it up initially?
