Show HTML-Code on website using php

Hi,

i want to show some HTML-Code on my website without masking the special chars like


I want to do it with this:

(and moreover use php-syntax-highlighting).

Now I cannot use PHP directly in a MODx-site. Because I will have a lot of Code-Blocks on every single page I cannot use a template-variable (as I did here).

Is there any workaround?

The only thing I can think of (short of a plugin) is to use a snippet and send the content you want "entified" as a parameter.

I could have found it in the MODx-Revolution-documentation, chapter "Snippets".

I have to additions:
1) In Revolution-syntax one has to use 2 brackets instead of one :


2) If you use singlequotes or no quotes, it works for every html-code, but not for php-code or html-code that uses quotes. you have to use backticks as in the example above, then it works like a charm.

Glad you got it working. I assumed you were using Evolution because there’s a separate forum for Revolution issues.

Do you mean the Board "Release Support", there the child-board for Revolution?
I thought my problem was more a general problem than a Revolution-specific. Or is there another Revolution-Board which I don’t recognize?
