This is probably a stupid question, but I’m trying to learn more about using $_SESSION and can’t find where this array is created in the code. Basically looking for is all of the available options and also if I can add to the array with tables and fields I have added to the original db.
$_SESSION is a PHP thing, not a MODx thing.

You can save just about anything in a session variable.
Save something like this:
$_SESSION['arbitraryVariableName'] = $myVariable;
Get it back out with this:
$myVariable = $_SESSION['arbitraryVariableName'];

The login functions add a lot of stuff to the SESSION.

Thank you both for your quick responses.
I’m clearly a novice on the php side and have basically always just done minor edits to all of the great plugins the veterans in these forums always create.
After spending more time looking through the forums the last few days I’m excited to learn about using modx and understanding how the core code works..
