Is it possible to have an alternate configuration for tinyMCE? Essentially I would like two configurations, one that stores enters or returns as paragraph tags and second one that stores them as brs.
The only way I know how to prevent this is to edit the configuration file in modx and that would be global right?
Any thoughts?

You can overwrite the global TinyMce configuration by specifying a custom configuration for each user.
Go to "Security/Manager Users/User Tab" at the bottom
Thank you for the response. I would need this to be two different versions of TinyMCE on the samepage. Can a user have multiple configurations files so I can have one user, see two different versions of tinyMCE on the same admin page?
Yes, but you need to create a Custom Template Variable. Basically you need to duplicate the functionality of the RichText Input Type of your TV.
Maybe someone has some instruction. I never had the need for it.
