    Hi,

I recently installed MODx for a client’s new project and it is generally working fine.
However, my client would like to be able to upload documents, and include links to the uploaded documents in their pages. For example they have a ’Downloads and resources’ page which will enable people to download PDF documents from the page.

I’ve uploaded a couple of PDF documents to the server using the File Manager, and they’ve appeared in the correct folder. However, I then need to be able to link to them from the page.

I select the text that I want to form the link, and then click the link button in the Rich Text editor. The ’insert/edit’ link box then comes up. I click the file browse button next to the ’Link url’ field and the FCK Editor window comes up. However the only file it shows is index.html and none of the files I have uploaded.

The path that FCK Editor is using is:
    http://www.DOMAIN.com/manager/media/browser/mcpuk/browser.php?Connector=/manager/media/browser/mcpuk/connectors/php/connector.php&ServerPath=/&editor=tinymce&editorpath=/assets/plugins/tinymce/&type=files

What’s going wrong here? Why can’t I see my files? I’m sure the above path is wrong, but how do I change it?

As an addendum, I get the following warning on the Configuration page: "Configuration warning: ’GD and/or Zip PHP extensions not found’"
My client is using a hosting provider who won’t install GD and Zip PHP, so is this part of the problem?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

    Kelly

That is the correct path for the loading of the resource browser.

The path necessary for accessing the files with the resource browser is in two locations; one is in the site Configuration in the Interface and Features tab, the other, which may or may not be the same, is in the individual user’s User tab. You might also want to make sure that the allowable file types are consistent as well.

You should be able to upload files from the resource browser window.
