I have made my first page in modx but the manager is not the nice slide in and out (hidden) manager I have come to love but is instead just text.

Obviously I have done something and if not and easy fix I shall delete my sintall and start again I guess.

    The url is: http://www.sullivansociety.co.uk/index.php?id=1

    Many thanks in advance

I can’t login on the manager obviously, so can’t really see the problem.

Perhaps something went wrong while unzipping or uploading the data. Did you try uploading the files again? You should be able of simply overwrite what’s already uploaded without the need to start over again if you use the same version of MODx.

The CSS file for the Manager is either missing, or MODx is looking for it in the wrong place.

I’d try an upgrade install first (don’t install the sample site).

Thanks for both the comments, I am sure the css is the problem as the manager options are there but not styled! However a page I made ealier has the manager displaying as it should be! Such is my dilema, but how do I fix it? A reinstall is probably the best idea. Here is a screen shot for anyone interested. I have a screen shot but I am not sure how to use the insert image function.

As I said thanks very much for responding.

Yes, an upgrade install is definitely the next thing to try.
