    Hi,
yes, the H1 tag is probably best used for the Headline title.
It has to be unique as the tag title, and use it for logo doesn’t match this rule.

    bye

I submitted to Google 2 weeks ago and as of today no index or cache. I need to spend some additional time promoting it. My key words are not overly competitive so soon I need to make some major changes to my meta tags.

Any tips or pointers are well appreciated.

            Any pointers in redirection?

When I built my website I used not very relevant stuff in the alias field for FURL,
I have read that if I want to change them I have to redirect all the pages to the
new ones to avoid penalties by the search engines... what is the best way to do
            this?

Google Webmaster tools allow you to remove urls from Google’s cache and submit a new sitemap.
I suggest you use this approach and let time take care of the out phasing of your old urls.
Overtime Google webmasters tools will also tell if there’s a dead link or a reference to one your old urls and the point of origin.

I think this is by far the most effective way of dealing with your issue. I had an entire site redesigned and changed page extensions from htm to html and it took major browsers almost a month to clear their old cache.

              Hope this helps
