Personalized picture limited to actors & musicians?

I see a number of other members seem to have uploaded their own custom "avatar" images. When I go to my "edit profile" page, I don’t see an option to do this. The only options I see are actors, musicians or "no pic". Can anyone enlighten me? This isn’t a big deal or anything, just curious.

I wasn’t able to upload a custom avatar up until just recently. I don’t know if users are forbidden to have a custom avatar until they reach a certain number of posts, or what the criteria is. Mysterious...

I suspect you may be right, cyclissmo. Your profile lists you as a "Member", whereas I am a lowly "Jr. Member". I suppose rank hath its privileges.
