For the last two days, three of my websites that are hosted in GoDaddy throw 500 Internal Server Error.
I managed to see from the logs that the error was "Premature end of script headers".
The strangest thing is that these websites are working normally for several months, and I have not changed the code or anything for these last few months... So I assume it’s an administration/server configuration thing...
Any ideas/experiences??
Thank you in advance

GoDaddy has been plagued with security breaches lately; take a hard look at your index.php file and your manager/includes/config.inc.php file in particular. I would strongly suspect a failed attempt to modify at least those files.
Have you found a solution to this problem? I am facing the exact same problem - MODx 1.0 installed on Godaddy server. I’ve researched this problem to no end, but found no solution...

Ugh. GoDaddy is a very poor host in my opinion. I would move hosts. Although you may not have changed code, if they changed their servers or updated PHP and its modules/config, it could wreck your site. Seriously, the time I wasted dealing with GoDaddy as a host more than outweighed the time and $$ I would have spent moving my sites off of them from the get go.
Yeah that’s what I was afraid of. It’s just so frustrating because I don’t know if they are they are the problem or the site is. And I’d rather not move the site unless it is absolutely necessary. Curious if hsigma ever was able to resolve the problem?
I’ve read somewhere previously that this sort of error can be caused by your site taking up too much memory / CPU by way of sleeping processes that don’t want to end or high traffic.
Did anyone find out what was causing the error "Premature end of script headers"?
I got the problem when running MODx 1.0.5 on a host I’d never used before, so assumed the host was the problem, but I still get the error after moving to a different host where I’ve installed and ran MODx loads of times with no issues. Could something still be lurking somewhere from the previous installation that I didn’t get rid of in the move?
The problem that I’m having is when I try to go to a page on the site which isn’t in the root I get "Internal Server Error" - all pages in the root are fine.
EDIT: After deleting the files and database content and installing everything from scratch on the new host I still got the same issue. I did some troubleshooting and came to the conclusion that the issue was caused by a template variable I’d set up to use @INHERIT as a default value. Once removing @INHERIT the problem seems to have vanished...!

"Premature end of script headers" is a really broad error, unfortunately.
