Howdy -- I am trying to install e2g but have encountered a bizarre issue. The install process is such that files are extracted to the root folder, you create a new module, provide an include statement, refresh the browser and follow the install instruction presented from there. Problem is, I don’t see anything when I refresh. Goldsky has advised to replace all files, which I’ve done 3-4 times with no luck.
Anybody have ideas on what could cause this behavior?
I’m running MODX 1.0.4, PHP 5.2.13, MySQL 5.1.44 internally on MAMP.
Thanks

What do you mean by "don’t see anything when I refresh"? The Manager doesn’t show? You don’t see the new E2G menu item in the Modules menu? Running the module causes the right working frame to be blank?
I’ve installed and upgraded several versions of E2G both on XAMPP/OSX and MAMP with no problems. Are you sure the directories where your MODx is installed has read/write permissions?
Figured it out. The problem is that I’m a moron. Sometimes an idiot. Always dubious.
Thanks.

Ehh?? LOL.
You’re funny.
Rather than be sarcastic to yourself, better to spill out what the ’real problem’ was.
You’ve never known that the ’stupid’ thing could be a major starting problem.

MODx is great, but knowing how to use it well makes it perfect!
