When I try to login I get a alert box that says "Location: http://www.mywebsite.com/manager" I click ok. Then nothing happens. but when I refresh the page I get into the manager. Any ideas on what the problem might be, and how I can fix it?

    Thanx!

What version of MODx do you use?

Do you have a link so we can see it?

        I use version 0.9.6.3

I can give you the link, but not the password. The password is correct en it is supposed to login, but it doesnt go further when I login only on a refresh after clicking ok.

        Is it a cofig problem?

I have no idea if it is a config problem, but as starter maybe you can try updating to 1.0.4 - the current GA release for the Evolution. Perhaps a previous update fixes whatever is causing it.

Be sure to backup any data you already have just in case.

You won’t lose any data. Of course, a backup is always strongly recommended before upgrading or making any other change to your site.

When I upgrade across several versions like that, I don’t upload the snippets folder at all; also if I’ve modified the existing templates (instead of making copies for my modifications, which is what you should do) I don’t upload the templates folder either.

Then when running the Installer in upgrade mode, I make sure to un-select the snippets and anything else I don’t want to upgrade in the database before continuing.

Upgrading plugins and modules won’t bother anything, but the snippets sometimes have had major changes between that many releases. You can update them manually later, one at a time to see if anything breaks, if you want.

Of course, if you have modified any of the MODx core /manager files, that’s another story altogether.
