    Hey,
    Another quick question that I can’t figure out. Installed the sample site for modx on my site www.katskinner.com, and it seems to work fine except I noticed that any content never showed up on the "Blog" page (i.e. www.katskinner.com/blog/"). As you can see, I managed to get Friendly URLS to work fine, I don’t think this is why I get the error however. I am using MODx Revolution 2.0.0-rc-2 rev6923.

    I haven’t edited any of the code for the sample site yet, but for your ease I am inserting it in this post:

    Blog Resource (as a container with published files within it):
    [[!getResourcesTag@BlogList]]
    <div class="paging">
    <ul class="pageList">
      [[!+page.nav]]
    </ul>
    </div>

    ModxHost (Under Elements > Templates):
    [[$header]]
    <div class="post">
      <h2>[[*longtitle]]</h2>
      [[*content]]
    </div>
    [[$footer]]

    blogPost (Under Elements > Chunks):
    <div class="post">
      <h1><a href="[[~[[+id]]]]" title="[[+pagetitle]]">[[+pagetitle]]</a></h1>

      <div class="line_branch_vert"><p>Vertical</p></div>

      <div class="line_branch"><p>Line Branch</p></div>

      <div class="post_date">
      	<span class="day">31</span>
      	<span class="month">July</span>
      	<span class="year">2009</span>
      </div>

      <div class="ditto_info">
        By <strong>[[+createdby:userinfo=`fullname`]]</strong> on [[+publishedon:strtotime:date=`%b %d, %Y`]].

        <a href="[[~[[+id]]]]#quip-topofcomments">Comments ([[!QuipCount? &thread=`blogPost[[+id]]`]])</a>
      </div>
      [[+tv.tags:notempty=`<div class="ditto_tags">Tags: [[!tolinks? &items=`[[+tv.tags]]` &key=`tag`]]</div>`]]

      [[+introtext:empty=`[[+content]]`]]
      <p class="ditto_link">[[+link]]</p>
    </div>

    What is wrong with the code? How can I fix this??

    Thanks in advance,
    Kat Skinner

      To be honest, the Sample Site probably needs an update. tongue There’s a few new Components that would work better than the implementation in the Sample Site.

      I’ll take a look at it next week. Not sure what’s going on there.

        @Splittingred, thanks grin

        If anyone can suggest a simple solution for now. I have been looking at using ditto and getResources, but haven’t been able to figure out much so far. Will this work?
        Right at the moment I just need to be able to show child resources as blog posts (with X number of blog posts per page - as optional, but desired)...

        Is anyone able to provide some "sample" code that should show child resources, just to at least get me started??

        Thanks

          Ok So I think I found the solution. The articles under "Blog" had "hide from menu" selected. When I unselected it, they showed up.
          However, the code under the sample site that relates to summaries:
           [[+summary:empty=`[[+content]]`]]
          does not work. No content is displayed. Any solution for this???
