You’ll need to set up web user permission group in the security:
Security tab > Web Users > (add users here)
Security > Web Users > Web User groups > Create a user group, eg, "Registered", for specifying a user group.
Security > Web Users > Resource Groups > Create resource group, eg, "Registered Users", for specifying document permission group
Security > Web Users > User/Resource Group links > Link User group ("Registered") to Resource Group ("Registered Users", joins user group to resource group permissions.
Edit the document you want to protect > Access Permissions tab > tick "Registered Users" will protect page from general public, making it visible only to "Registered" users who have logged in. You’ll need to research Weblogin and WebloginPE (advanced user) to sort out user signup...
Mostly harmless.
Thanx, works perfect ( offcourse )... now my next problem. I need a forum, and I was thinking about phpbb. Is it possible for users to login to the main site (modx) and when they click on the link to visit the forum, they automatically get logged in, given that the username and password are the same? If so, how would I go about, to set it up.
or... is there a (light) forum module for modx, in order to circumvent the problem described above alltogether?
