PHP Version: Latest version of PHP5
    MySQL Version: 5.0.90-community
    Apache Version: 2.2.15
    Kernel Version: 2.6.18-164.15.1.el5.028stab068.9
    Operating System: Linux
    MODx Version: 1.0.3
    Version Codename: rev 6653

I’m not sure if this a bug or just a problem with my configuration.

mod_rewrite works just fine in personal tests on pages, but not the code supplied with the version of ModX

When I click on any link with the Friendly URLs enabled, it takes me to the homepage "IE index.php" and not the page specified.

I notice in the .htaccess file

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/index.php
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (/|\.php|\.html|\.htm|\.feed|\.pdf|\.raw|/[^.]*)$ [NC]
    RewriteRule (.*) index.php
    RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization},L]

    There is a line
    RewriteRule (.*) index.php

Which would send anything to simply the index.php, with no operator id for a page.

Is this normal? How can I get it to go to the pages specified?

I don’t think that’s the MODx .htaccess. Possibly your host has put that one there.

Look for an ht.access file in the MODx root -- it’s the MODx file and normally, you rename it to .htaccess.
