any reason why all the links on my page are broken?

here’s my site:
http://andrewshemo.com/cms/

it’s the default install. I’m just checking some things out before I decide if I should move a project from joomla over.

problem I’m having is that all the links and/or buttons on the page don’t work. is this normal behavior for the default install?

I installed the maxigallery and the link it was giving me is:
http://andrewshemo.com/cms/photo-gallery

but it’s not working.

I’m using 1.0.4

you’re using friendly URLs ... did you rename ht.access to .htaccess? (or disable the friendly URLs feature first to check if that’s causing your errors)

looks like it was the friendly URLs...when I turn it off, it works fine...renaming the ht.access to .htaccess and turning them back on still returns a broken page.

check that part of your .htaccess file:



(adding your subfolder "cms")

your server got mod_rewrite feature?

*clear your MODx- and Browser cache*

adding the cms to the rewritebase worked.

how do I know what the URL is for the gallery so I can add a new link to it?

the URL will be the one you define for the ressource (document) your calling the Snippet from e.g.
http://andrewshemo.com/cms/mygallery-01.html
