change default filename from index.php

hi there. we are trying to put up a site, bout would like to have the modx page be something like index.modx.php. we can browse to this page, and all the content works correctly, but the links on the page are pointing to index.php?q=48 instead of index.modx.php?q=48.

is there a spot that this is in the site configuration or database? any help would be appriciated. thanks!

In Revo this is possible by changing the request_controller setting and renaming the file.

In Evo, if you use Friendly URLs, you should be able to rename the index.php and change the rewrite rules to point to your new location, though not sure how that would affect direct access to the site root. This will not work without Friendly URLs however.
