Changing URL

Good morning,

I want to know how I can change the URL of the page I’m creating.

I suppose I have a domain "http://www.mycars.com" and the default URL of the pages I create in the MODX are as follows: "http://192.168.xy/modx/index.php?id=49"

I want to know is if I can modify that address to the following: "http://www.mycars.com/mercedes.html", for example.

I know that when I upload my pages to the server, will catch the domain as the primary address: "http://www.mycars.com", disappearing "192.168.x.y"... but I want to know how I can change it to a name the subpage name, in that case "mercedes.html"

Thank you very much!

You’ll need to turn on Friendly URL’s in "Tools >> Configuration >> Friendly URL’s" and then make sure that every page has a document alias.

Also remember to rename the ht.access file to .htaccess in the site root folder.
