I want to use MODx for my genealogy pages, i’ve tried already many other cms, but they can’t do the job right for me, i have to make some thousands of pages, and some of these pages I have to link together (for example: Father - Son, Brother - Sister) also visitors must have the choiche to place comments on the pages, it is also important to hide certain pages for visitors who don’t have a account on the site, I don’t want to use any genealogy software because they have great limitations in the way I want to show my info on the Web.

if you try revolution I think you can do whatever you want.
The linking is what you will have to do manually I think.
If however you are good ad coding PHP etc you might just be able to create links using snippets etc.
reading your post i would add that making thousands of pages doesn’t sound like a good solution. Honestly i think you should think about storing your datas, either in modx db tables using tv or custom tables.
