Best way to move modx from a sub-dir to root folder?

Hi,

I’ve built a new site in a sub-directory of my hosting account. It’s ready to go live and I would like to move the site to the hosting root folder. What’s the best way to do this? Can I just copy everything into the htdocs/ folder and manually update the paths in the manager/configuration tabs? Or is it not quite that simple?

You will need to update your css and js paths if you used hard coded paths and you will also need to clear your site cache too as all paths in the pages generated by MODx will be cached until cleared but once done all should be fine.
