Hi
I installed MODx a few days ago and put in a lot of time designing a template to use for my site.
I have a few usergroups that I want to access different parts of the site. I made a test account and added him to usergroup A, and I made a resource group A and linked the two together in web permissions. However, the content of the page does not show up for the web user and instead it shows some information about a blog. It also messes up logout links that I have using WebLoginPE. The Breadcrumbs navigation does not work for that page either. I also set up a menu where level 1 groups would show up on the top nav bar, and their children would show up in a side navigation. I made resource group A a child of a level 1 resource, but it does not show up on the side navigation nor does the level 1 navigation show up as highlighted when I am on page A.
Any help?
I’m using the latest version of MODx with WebLoginPE and a custom ReCaptcha snippet. I am using the Personalize snippet to show Register / Logout links depending on whether the user is logged in or not.
I made another test account and added him to a group and linked that group to another resource group. He was able to see the appropriate documents but even I changed his group, he was able to view the documents. I gave permissions to only a certain group and although he was not in the group anymore, he could see the documents.
Ok , it gets even more weird.
The permissions are all correct when I am logged in as a web user in Firefox (I don’t see pages that I am not supposed to), but in Safari (where I am logged in as manager as well as web user), I can view everything EXCEPT the level 2 page which should be visible to me.
Never mind, I got it fixed .
