    Hello everyone,

I’ve been testing MODx for a while and I’m quite happy with it (I’ve tried other frameworks/cms like qcodo and others but something wasn’t enough for me). I’ve been working in web projects for about 10 years without choosing a specific framework. Why? There were always specific things I had todo that are too complicated on those systems, and so as always, I wrote my own code. Always OOP so I could reuse it. Problem? I’m continuaously reinventing the wheel. So after so many years and thousands of hours writing code I made a resolution, use a simple, flexible and "good" OOP framework. I’ve been analysing a few frameworks and I’m quite happy with MODx, specially because of the comunity and also framework documentation.

I’ve tested MODx Evolution, but Revolution is coming out. For what I’ve seen it’s completly different (it seems for better). I know you’re still on alpha releases. I wanna start to build a project for a client using MODx (nothing fancy, a web site with product management backoffice and the option for authorized users to place orders), I’m not gonna do it with evolution when a new version is comming out. So do you think I can start the project with Revolution, and update when new releases come out or should I wait for a more stable release. Hope some one in the developing team could give me some guidance. Otherwise I’m back to reinventing the wheel smiley

    Thanks,
    Pedro Santos

P.S. If I go forward with these I can help you on Portuguese (pt-pt) translations not Portuguese Brazilian (pt-br).

Grab the latest Revo SVN and get started: http://modxcms.com/develop/source.html

If you need a general indoctrination into MODx, which translates generally between Evo and Revo, start here: http://modxcms.com/learn/it.html

Also, when running Revo from SVN, don’t forget this:

And follow SVN updates with Fisheye:

        And file bugs in JIRA:
