Hi,
I have 2 templates, one for the home page and one for subsequent pages. The subsequent pages have a sidebar containg 3 banners. I have created a tv for each banner (i.e. [*banner1*][*banner2*][*banner3*]) so they can be easily changed in the manager. However these banners probably won’t change from page to page so rather than have to add the same content to the tv’s on each page i wondered if there was a way to set this globally?
Thanks for any help
G
If they are allways the same on each page create chunks instaed of TVs and put them with
{{banner1}}{{banner2}}{{banner3}}
on your Templates.

The key word here being "probably". Also TVs are not stored in the site cache, while chunks are, so adding more chunks just enlarges the cache. The TVs can be given the default value, so it doesn’t need to be edited for each resource. You can also easily "hide" TVs from editor users using various methods from ManagerManager rules to ordinary manager user group/resource group methods.
Hi and thanks for the replies.
So what would i add in the default value?
would it be the link to the banner?

Whatever would be in the chunks. Treat the TVs like variable chunks. You can even make them Rich Text fields if you want to.
