Have given myself a problem - had installed MODx in a test environment on www.mydomain.com/modx so relevant folders are at www.mydomain.com/modx/assets etc

I then wanted to install MODx again but this time in the root folder with the aim of importing a database from another MODx project - so I created the neccessary DB and imported the MOdx data into it - I then went on to install MOdx into the root but the install flagged up that the Table prefix: modx_ was already in use (I presume from the other install even though it’s not at the root) - I tried a different table prfix but that has not worked - so if I look at the DB in the table there are now rows with modx_attributes as well as the same table with the new prefix - I tried to change the config inc to read the modx_ prefix but that does not work - any other ideas please?

Further Edit have found out more issues!
I made a backup of only the modx_ prefix files - then deleted the database and created a new one importing the db with just the modx_ prefix - issue now is that it is looking for files that were on the other server!!

The whole thing is a mess!

Just to recap - had a site up and running on one server http://abe.enixns.com/~richards/ I want to take that site and put it on to a new server, www.gavinbaylis.com so I did an export etc as above and now have these problems

Ok worked it out - few reinstalls later and following the WIKI http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Moving_Site_To_Another_Location studiously it’s all working smiley
