    My goal:

To provide editors with a drop down list of documents from which to select on a given document/page. The selected document from the list would serve as a link to this document. For example... I have a page dedicated to a book and its summary. A link would be provided that would take the visitor to an associated excerpt (chosen from the list)

    What I have so far:

I’ve created the appropriate TV with drop down list input type. I’ve assigned the TV to the necessary template. Upon editing the page the editor is able to select from the assigned list of documents. The frontend anchor tags link correctly to the assigned pages.

    The problem:

Rather than getting a pretty URL with the page alias, the document IDs are displayed in the browser’s URL field. I’ve tried @EVAL bindings, the Quill snippet. I can’t seem to get the page alias to display.

    A not so great alternative:

Rather than a drop down list I could simply provide a TV text field where the editor enters the document [~ID~]. This works great (page alias and all) but isn’t as user friendly.

I can provide more info if anyone has a clue how to make this happen. Thanks in advance!
