Install completed and then "Could not load DBAPI class" - HELP!

    I’ll admit I’m pretty useless with DBs but I created the modx DB and completed the install process – all green check marks. Then I hit CLOSE to go to the manager and just a white screen with ...

    Could not load DBAPI class

    Looks to be a common error from looking around but I found no explanation. I’m running on a Mac with MAMP - mySQL 5.1.44 and PHP 5.2.13.

    Anyone know what might be wrong?

      I should add I’m using modx evolution.

        Make sure that manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php exists and has not been corrupted; also that it has the correct permissions to be read by anyone.
