Trying to setup additional default content as an installation option

I’ve been working with MODx for almost 5 years and I have developed a methodology over the years for favorite snippets, plugins, chunks, and TV’s that I always use. I have made a demo site with everything and I can import the database and upload all the files, but that gets pretty cumbersome.

I am looking to modify the installer (for 1.0.3) so that I can add the assets that I use and have the dB get set up correctly. Is this something that is straightforward? Or should I just suck it up, and do the manual install?

It’s very straightforward to build a custom installer actually. It’d be interesting to start a dialog on the best additions/tweaks you make, too.
