    Hi,

I’ve an exiting site with .php extension and would like to integrate it with, i.e. my css and js, Revolution and have bought MODx Web Development by Antono John Solar, however its oriented towards Evolution and as I am totally new to Modx have not being able to find any other similar tutorial or books etc. to help this process, so any help or suggestions would be much appriciated.

Hi I’m probably not the best person to reply but I suspect all the Experts are busy with MODxpo

It all depend what you want to do exactly.

Revo is very new and the docs are improving daily but the developers are very willing to help with specific problems as they occur in you developement.

I would suggest that you take a look at (in no particular order)
      http://www.sottwell.com/
http://bobsguides.com/MODx.html A bit more on Revo
      http://codingpad.maryspad.com/beginner-tutorials/ Some good screencasts

      Also the Official Docs :-
      http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/MODx+Revolution for Revolution
      http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/Evo1/Home for Evolution

Your XHTML, CSS & PHP skills can be used to great effect with both.

That said Revo is stable enough to use for most applications XPDo is great for databae access, only problem not many 3rd Party Components developed yet but is relatevely easy to make existing code into components (Maybe you can donate them back to the community if successfully implemented).

Welcome to MODx and a great community.
      Hope you enjoy you stay.

Sorry it took so long to get an answer.
