Importing resources/ products?

Hi, I am in the process of redesigning our ecommerce site. currently it is running on joomla and virtuemart.

One question I have is in regards to importing files. I have most of my products already in virtuemart and can export those to a csv file. Is there a way to import those products as resources in modx? It could be a non-starter if I have to retype or copy/paste every product, manufacturer and category.

Here is my current site: http://eli-phant.com
thanks!
Sally

I don’t know of any import system to do that, but it should be fairly simple to write a snipet that would do the import for you (depending on your PHP skills).
